Pocket Stories contains stories from middle school to high school youth in Echo Park and Mar Vista, ranging from micro fiction to poetry. We settled on a cityscape cover inspired by cyanotype and spot illustrations to accompany the sections. I also did some typesetting for this chapbook.

AD Marco BeltranIn collaboration with Chica Verdes, a community gardening program, I illustrated and typeset a recipe book inspired by their gardens. Each recipe is passed on by a family member and I wanted the cover to capture the warmth and texture of these stories.
